One of Australia’s largest internet service providers was experiencing a significant downtime that nighttime took thousands of homes and businesses online.
TPG Telecom said a large cyclone that hit Sydney yesterday caused a power failure at a datacentre, impacting broadband service for TPG, Vodafone, iiNet, Internode and Kogan fixed computer users.
We are now having trouble with a complex issue that is causing our business customers ‘ fixed services as well as allowing them to contact our customer support groups, the company said in a statement.
Our technical team have identified the issue and are attempting to rebuild service to all customers as quickly as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. “
