The helicopter from Bering Air Caravan was reportedly “overdue” when it failed to arrive in Nome around 4 p.m. local time.
It had nine people and one captain on board when it was departing Unalakleet.
Crews are diligently trying to find the jet’s final location, but the climate in the area is so bad that it has limited the ability to establish an air search.
A Coast Guard helicopter has flown to the place to conduct a “grid routine search” over the waters and the shoreline, equipped with special equipment that enables it to “find objects and people without visibility conditions.”
The Nome Volunteer Fire Department stated in a statement that” We are currently responding to a report of a missing Bering Air caravan.”
” We are conducting a floor seek engaged from White Mountain and Nome.” Due to weather and awareness, we are limited on air research at the present period.  ,
The National Guard, Coast Guard, and Troopers have been informed and are actively participating in the hunt. Norton Sound Health Corporation is present. ‘ ,


Authorities were forced to warn well-intentioned citizens of the people to abstain from holding any research parties due to the extreme circumstances.  ,
We ask the consumer to “please think of those who may be missing at this time,” but the ministry requested that individuals not kind unique research teams because of concerns about the weather and safety.

Authorities claim the pilot’s next known interaction with them occurred when he informed Anchorage Air Traffic Control that he intended to “enter a holding design” while he waited for the airport to clear.
When touch was lost, it is believed that the plane was 12 miles off shore.  ,
According to statistics from FlightRadar, the airplane- a Cessna 208B- was last seen over the Norton Sound at 3.16pm.

As crews war snow and rain to find the aircraft, Norton Sound Health Corporation has issued a statement confirming that it is” standing ready to respond to a group health emergency.”

At Norton Sound Regional Hospital, where customers’ loved ones can gather and watch information updates, has been established a community center.
