Digital C to drop$ 1 million in city contracts after missing the online customer goal

Cleveland, Ohio-based nonprofit internet service provider Digital C will lose$ 1 million of its$ 20 million contract with the city after exceeding its new subscriber goal by 20 % in 2024.

Digital C, picked by Mayor Justin Bibb to help bridge Cleveland’s online break, could have lost$ 1.75 million based on the performance-based deal it signed with City Council in 2023. However, committee members on Thursday agreed to amend the contract to compensate Digital C$ 760, 000.
