Heaven – According to the most recent Innovation Index report, New Englanders continue to rate internet service providers highly on factors like reliability, speed, and security.
The New England Connectivity and Telecommunications Association ‘s , yearly tracking survey that seeks to identify industry trends and consumer attitudes to provide data to policymakers in 2024 shows that consumers have a better broadband satisfaction rate of 90 %, a 3 % increase from the 2023 survey.
More than half of the respondents to the survey used conceptual artificial intelligence chatbots. But, 74 % said they view AI as a threat. Only 3 % of respondents said they were “intensely concerned” about the possibility of cyberattacks disrupting their service, compared to 47 % who said the federal government is best suited to handle that regulatory effort.
More than two-thirds of New England residents believe their secret service provider is protecting them from cyberattacks.
According to Tim Wilkerson, chairman of the New England Connectivity and Telecommunications Association, “our economy is improving the lives of our clients by providing them with ever-faster, more secure, and reliable connection for work and play.” The most recent Innovation Index results in significant insights for navigating the revolutionary changes that are affecting our society, economy, and location.
The test survey, conducted by Seven Letter Insight from Oct. 7-16,  , identified New England citizens who are also broadband or cable customers.
