A Kent government has agreed to contribute money to the construction of a new health facility in order to remove three surgeries that are unable to meet additional demand.
The approval of Dartford Borough Council ( DBC ) to allocate$ 3.6 million in Community Infrastructure Levy ( CIL ) funding to the construction of a new medical facility at Steele Avenue in Greenhithe was approved.
The new service, which will include 14 consulting rooms, four care rooms, and a minor surgery system, may replace the Ivy Bower, Greenhithe, and Elmdene surgeries.
NHS Kent &, Medway integrated care board ( ICB) will lead in the delivery of the project, which will cost an estimated £8.2m.
With NHS Kent &, Medway and NHS Kent &, Medway having been talking about a new health facility for this region for some time, the need was first identified in 2017.
DBC’s case came to the decision to manage the CIL funding, coming to the conclusion that the task was an “important step in the right direction to provide improved health services to residents.”
During primary practice hours, the medical space capacity will hold an estimated 150, 000 appointments a year.
Mayfair Group Investment Ltd., which will provide the remaining money, is the company that will be carrying out the structure.
